This week 20 was dedicated to "Long exposures". The concept about exposure is very simple.. when the shutter opens, light starts entering the camera, objects starts getting recognized.. then the shutter closes after a specific time period, and the image is captured.
The faster the shutter is, the less light is allowed to enter. The motion is frozen for eternity.
The slower the shutter is, the more light is allowed, and if the object moves, the motion is also recorded.
Example of Long exposures or slower shutter speed can be : Light painting/ selective lighting, Light trailing, City scape, Star trailing, Cloud scapes, Water falls/ river, Flash sync, Panning.
and numerous other ocassions.
